Poems

Mohammad Younus

Poems are vessels that carry
the weight of our ideas,
they surface from deep oceans
of visions fields.

Like tides that ebb and flow,
Ideas race across shores of the soul.
in rhythms blown from the divine depths,
Into the expanse of thoughts.

Taking its course from one dimension
to the other in the depths of my heart
Reflecting meanings with perfect rhythm,
Shaping these into poems, I stay still,
And in divine silence listen to my own poems.

But who says, 'where is God my Maker, who gives songs in the night, who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth and makes us wiser than the birds of the heavens?
