It is an actual travesty to tell someone,
Who is genuinely good at loving people,
That the only person they are not, in fact,
Allowed to love
Is themselves
Is there a more egregious doctrine to
Shroud a sensitive child in
Than that of self-loathing?
When they love so freely and so
Fiercely, but are never allowed to
Practice that same love on themselves,
To learn how it feels to be both
Wielder and recipient?
How much have the generations
Lost
Because those who loved like
Dandelions
Were rooted up as
Weeds?

A little information about yourself - on your profile page for starters and then possibly something more here would be helpful..... or are you already moving on?
Helpful in what way? Because I'm only looking for somewhere to put my poetry, not build a following or a business necessarily...
Fine.
No, sorry - I am genuinely curious. Does the poem not make sense? I'm new to this community and am unsure of the expected etiquette.
