Unravel

jinx9

In this crumbling home, where fear seeps through the cracks,
A child grasps at a mother, adrift in her own despair.
Longing for the warmth of an embrace, for words that heal what lacks,
Yet she's ensnared by the bottle's call, as affection fades into thin air.

You grow quickly, seeking solace in arms that promise to stay,
Hunting for a savior within eyes that flicker with fleeting light.
But they vanish, leaving voids that echo with the silent fray,
In a dwelling haunted by the remnants of parting's blight.

A whisper within insists, "Don't try, let go,"
Yet you persist, bending, fraying, but never torn asunder.
You revel, you cherish, you let the tears freely flow,
Clinging to a semblance of truth amidst a world of wonder.

So,, you spill your essence onto pages, a release so bittersweet,
Every phrase a war cry, a plea for a truce so desperately sought.
You pour out your soul in ink, laying bare a heart that refuses defeat,
Clinging to the fragile hope that, in time, all will be as it ought.
