The Wind

fakersbay

the way you touched me today, wind

I didn’t know I was longing for this touch

I was down and sad and drenched

and longing for my lover,

but you changed something

you whispered, “You are already enough”

no way, wind

look at all the things I have not

look at all the things I could be, but am not

how dare you wind, that can’t be

look at all these chains,

and you’re telling me, I am free

come on, come back and tell me you were lying

so that I can be sad and hopeless again

and give up all the trying
