Resurrection of a slave

…..Forcefully inbred,  never fed, ate bugs instead, slept on hard beds, mother and father been dead, master name Jed, great grandmother once said, look to the east, set your mind at peace, our ancestors birthed mankind, our true history is hard to find, bold lies in place of the divine, spiritual crimes against yours and mines, futures passed, what was lost will forever be hard to grasp; chasing who we were is an impossible task, resurrection won’t come fast.

What if mankind has been here before? What if the present humanity is the fifth one to have existed on this planet?
What if we are not the body and the thoughts?
What if you, me, and everybody has committed spiritual crimes at some point in our past? (and how far back does that past really go?!)

The physical dynamics no doubt creates a psychodynamics in our minds; in it, we can create a hell on both sides of life’s mirror….. let’s say that.

What you wrote brought to mind what I read once from a Native American teaching, namely that in the African body the water element is dominant, in the Oriental the air element, in the Caucasian the fire element, and in the Native American the earth element. There's so many mysteries to the body, isn't there?

        • evenwheniLie

The mysteries lie in the mind, perception is everything

Well, yes. I once asked a martial arts teacher in Japan how he was able to move in such a relaxed, fluid and spontaneous way. He told me that most people try to release tension from their mind first, then the body, in theory, relaxes. He approached it the other way, first working on movement to release/relax the body (Yes, I know the mind is still involved in that!), then his mind was able to release/relax.
A friend of mine said something similar. He said that "freely flowing life isn't psychological, the actual freedom is physical. This freely flowing life is the actual freedom. Most bodies can't handle this kind of freedom. A (certain practice) is a part of the bodily process to free the obstructions so that the life (force) flows freely and completely.
            Have a great weekend.

We are our minds, not our bodies, it’s the mind that moves the body.. we instantly become aware of this if asked to pick a limb over losing our minds.

Yes, we are not our bodies, but are we our minds? By that I mean we are not the thoughts passing through, but instead the awareness of those thoughts. Is a thought aware of itself?

                • evenwheniLie

The conscious mind that is aware of itself and it’s surroundings, that is the mind I speak of not it’s thoughts, it’s the absence of thought that creates the emptiness monks speak of

I see. Thanks for taking the time to write all the replies.
