*~ A Mouse's Tale. ~*

Thad Wilk

A little old lady lived in a house all alone.

She had no friends or family to call her own.

One day, she found a mouse under her bed.

So skinny he was, he looked underfed.

Each morning she'd get down on her knees.

Hand feed him bread and bits of swiss cheese.

She nursed him to health, with tender care.

Even made him with pride a toy teddy bear.

The mouse was very happy the old lady was too.

From that day on their friendship it grew.

And the mouse he just loved his teddy bear.

Wandered through the house, took it everywhere.

Each night by candlelight she'd tuck him in bed.

Always place his teddy bear next to his head.

She was content and the mouse he was too.

It's amazing what caring and friendship can do~
