Good Enough

It can be hard to keep going when your brain is telling you that you aren’t good enough,

And changing those thoughts in your mind is always going to be tough.

Some of are wired differently to believe all of the thoughts in our brain,

And it is hard to move on past the storm because it seems like it is always full of rain. 

But just like you taught yourself to believe all of the thoughts that you hear,

You can rewire your brain, to diminish all of those thoughts and all of your fears. 

All it takes is for you to believe that you are good enough just as you are,

And that you are able to see the beauty in all of your bruises and scars.

That each one has a story to tell,

And that there is power in all of them, and not just a reminder of all the times that you fell.

Rather, they are a symbol of all of the times that you were able to stand tall,

And how you pushed yourself to keep going, even when you would hit a wall.

You gave yourself time to grieve, but you never stayed there for long,

And all of those failures are what made you so strong.

You finally see the beauty in all of your failures and mistakes,

And that you kept going, even when everything was telling you to hit the brakes.

There were so many times when you wanted to throw it all away,

But you knew that if you kept going, you would get there someday.

But if you gave up, you would always be wondering how things could change,

And now you know that everything you wanted was too far out of range.

Because you decided to quit the second that things got hard,

And you decided to give up when you could have been at the tenth yard.

You realized that you never have to worry about having this thought,

Because you knew that you never wanted to give up on that shot.

You can finally be proud of how far you have come,

But you know to never forget where you have come from.

And all of it helped you to finally believe that you are good enough as you,

And you have to thank everything that you have been through.
