A Heart Stirrer

Petrichor of Love

A gale just rekindled my heart anew
as it began to grow and blow through;
Being kind yet burly as it minced in blue
exposing the wounds, both old and new.

A din hums in the city of my heart
as if mountains were falling apart.
In this world where it's tough to find peace,
someone's absence adds more to my unease.

Now that you do not talk to me now,
your silence speaks to me somehow.
Using the oblivious isles of memory,
it constantly keeps calling out to me.

In the unlit lanes of this city,
my life searches for you persistently.
Although its senses sleep tight,
my windows remain awake at night.

O friends, why have you risen this soon,
the night is still awake under the moon.
Good times will come hence don’t fret,
Don’t despair, for life has much left yet.
