Riverside Scene

Kinsley Lee

In the early dawn, the thick clouds do not

Depart, yet so dark,

And amidst the dark summer, few passers-by

Are seen in river-park.

Within the mist, water splashes

Are visible, and trout leap to queue,

Beside the woods, the sound of wind

Is heard, and wood pigeons coo.

Motorboats race, leaving foamy

Trails on the lake in rath,

Cyclists greet the oncoming breeze

On freshly at shoulder path.

If only there're no thieves who're stealing

Tax by the name of committee,

Then Seoul, harmonized with water, would be

The most beautiful and wonderful city.
