Anoint me

Charlotte3

Anoint me Father I cry out, my redeemer who is wise,

I am a lamb in your field who is tormented by bugs and flies,

That bury their eggs into my ears, eyes and nose,

Planting destruction and distress wherever it goes.

Anoint me Father I cry out, my redeemer who frees me from suffering,

Please cover me in your barrier of oil that protects me from injury,

The other lambs in the field challenge me and charge at my head,

Because their pride has not been met with your love yet.

Anoint me father I cry out, my redeemer who saves,

I only ask for you to lessen the impact and the pain,

To cover me in your oil so that maybe one day,

I will repel the attacks and no longer be the enemy’s prey.
