BIRDS UNLIKE US

Qurrathul Ain

Notice of absence from Qurrathul Ain
I'm taking a break for a while, for no specific reason. Maybe because, I don't get as much inspirations as I used to.

Look at the host of sparrows,

Of different castes, yet in peace,

A murder of crows,

Terrifying but in complete hold of their life,

A charm of hummingbirds,

What a stunning sight to behold,

A convocation of eagles,

Like a royal march of soldiers,

A parliament of owls,

Wonder what matter of theirs,

Need to be resolved with such preciseness.

A vision of absolute freedom,

The way they unfold their wings,

And take flight towards their destination,

Flying across the globe,

Watching the turmoil created by us below,

Who is holding them from falling,

When they soar across the sky?

Birds are of different varieties,

But unlike us,

How do they live very much in harmony, peace and love?

    Birds are yet
    To be equipped with
    An intellect!
    (I'm not saying it's "bad.")

    • Qurrathul Ain

Yes. Thank you, I appreciate your read.

I have to disagree, I find them extremely clever, with brilliant memories, and a network of friends.
Not all peace and harmony though.

Well, maybe they think, or maybe it’s all instinct. I need to talk with them more.

@2781 I agree, they fight and quarrel within themselves - which is normal, a part of life - in a way that they don't affect any other being or nature, unlike us. That's why I find birds better than us. And about the intellect - birds aren't said to have sixth sense except for pigeons, but they think better than beings with sixth sense, don't they? So, they must be acknowledged for it, that's all. Nevertheless, I know we all have different views and thank you for sharing them!

Who really knows? I guess it's one for the birds!

              Absolutely beautiful. 🌹
