confessions of an oceanic crust
mafic rocks now scissors for our irons second guess
each strand of hair from all to here and then
for second son of heights the middle aged,
a secret sea of testament through the whale-bone to the ark
miracles less commonplace
than pearls that flounder sea-weed in the belly of a shark.
a bending of the eye each dead of night
what cannot see has safer hands than we?
each fish of knaves more sensitive
than our vanity suggests.
He himself must surely have regrets!
two of each to the secrets of the edge
one by one as angels soar
half-way space to promise on a pledge
what cannot suck has safer mouths than we?
confessions of an ordinary day
light for light; dark to semicolon;
a finger-full of notes in a sectioned brain.
a digger deep will find you where I am
to second guess each strand of hair
pulling heart and headstone
through a vein of stubborn blue.
light for light; a dark to somewhere new;

Pizza will do the trick and as for the poem, it's all within but on the page so you win as you always do my dear friend. 🌹
Tremendous work. Reminds me of Leonard Cohen.
