Flames of reflection

Natalie Heisey

I came home, dropped to my knees, feeling lost, Emotions swirling, a tangled web I can't escape from within. Longing for a simple change, a path to mend, But instead, I'm left blindsided, wondering without closure of end.

I've poured my heart, my all, into this fight,
Haunted by memories, scars that grip me up really tight .Alone, I sit in constint silence, days blend into one, And missing you even more, my soul feels undone.

Staring into candle flames, my tears and flaws are spun, The candle's light captures my crashing thoughts, one by one.
Reflecting the pain, the battles that I've fought, But in this darkness, a glimmer of hope is not showing, as I thought.

Just keep reminding myself that healing may be possible, despite my broken loss soul. The flames have become a reflection of everything I've intensively endured, taking its biggest toll.
