PRAYER

Qurrathul Ain

Someone is praying, for someone,

Someone I don't even know,

Have never met,

Have never talked with,

Praying for their wellness, happiness and long-life.

The purest form of love,

Two strangers praying for each other,

From across the horizon.

Don't know if this is right or wrong,

My heart has never been this close to happiness as this,

When I think about the possibility,

It's only a mere possibility,

Please allow me to have it,

I will be the happiest.

My heart feels heavy,

What is the answer to my prayers?

  • Comment from author about the poem: Is it senseless to keep hoping for 'something' to happen, when that 'something' has a mere 1% of probability of happening in your life? I can't help but pray with all my heart.
