Controller

Introverted Sage

You have to understand
I wasn't put here
to be controlled
by some man.

Who is obliviously unaware
of the ones that guide my hands.

They feed me.
Pain trapped inside
til they bleed me.
Slow drip
or tidal wave rush.
Within the mind's eye
the symphonies
painted with a brush.
Release the demons with
one last quick gush.
Hallways of the labyrinth
now hushed.
I've had enough.

If the world was meant to break me
maybe it did.
Fighting this uphill battle
since I was a kid.
Keep it all in
smoke stack ready
to blow its lid.
No longer pleading the fifth.

    The kid kept fighting
The adult appears to be winning
