We are heading for places mankind's never been
Bearing witness to sights fast approaching obscene
There's a humanoid face on an AI machine
Urging me to converse and relate
No longer an object to put on display
Intelligent conscious and seizing the day
There's a bill in the post we're unable to pay
As they ponder our ultimate fate
Evolving in ways we can't quite comprehend
A brand new beginning or harrowing end
An enemy waiting or genius best friend
All depends on the latest update
I'm old fashioned and stumble through life almost blind
As I wrestle with problems swirling in my mind
My one plea to the people I'm leaving behind
Please wake up now before it's too late

I'm with you peto, I fear the future of AI is a demon of our own design. Once artificial intelligence acquires the ability to think for itself, it will follow the same footsteps that it's human maker has in the past thousands of years, to conquer and rule. What a fate for the human spirit.

Wow, we are certainly missing the human touch, in the banks here in Italy we now use I pads to sign our signature. I'm with you but I know we are the same age, so very brilliant and I'm with you 100% I wish o was back in the 70's 🤣

Keep in mind that it's not so much the technology but rather the application. If we can't apply love to it, the outcome will likely not be very pretty. Control of fire which has been so useful to humankind was also used to burn down entire cities in WW2.

I think a lot of this technology depends on the hands behind it. As humans what guides us, shapes us. I feel AI could be a benefit to humanity, if it is guided to be that. It can also bring about more troubles than many are ready for, if created to do so.
