Heartbreak

O. Ella

If i didn’t let my desires guide me

Such that our days got intertwined

And we laid together each night

If i didn’t betray my soul, to a

Wound that will never be cured,

great laden of eternal torment.

I ponder—

What my days would render me.

If they would’ve been void of

passion, desire, lust and rue.

I feel an undying tinge in my chest.
