A star free falling from the sky
A steam of tears in sodden eye
A grounded heart and urge to fly
She contemplates her life
A flower shaded from the sun
A deadly always loaded gun
Some memories of the day she won
She contemplates her life
Her hopes and dreams will stall not end
An iron will that just won't bend
Still searching for that special friend
She contemplates her life
A razor blade has lost it's edge
A garden with surrounding hedge
She steps on to the window ledge
And contemplates her life
So proud she won't go all the way
Will live to see a brighter day
It's by my side she's vowed to stay
She compliments my life

A poem that teeters on the edge of emotion the reference to the razor edge and window ledge give an edginess to the poem. The tension is dissipated in the last stanza. Well done
