Love in Vain

PoeticBiscuit

The same thing over,

Expecting different results,

Definition of insanity-

And you’re undoubtedly insane.

Dancing amongst the,

Barren catacombs,

of an empty heart,

Using the word of love in vain.

The female Icarus,

Flying close to the sun,

With reckless abandon,

A moth to a flame

Stories laid upon your skin,

In forms of cuts against the porcelain,

You grip the thorns upon the stem,

Yet on the rose you cast the blame.

Wonderful poetic expression here for a love that is in vain. You convey the madness of it well in your lines. Well penned.
