The Bullet

mtrotter1

And it's all up in the air

And I have to ask myself,

What am I doing here?

The inheritance of my revelry

Will be heard all over the world

If I drown myself in this world

I will drown alone

But I must take a bullet for my revelry

Aha! what do you know about my wretched life?

I die alone in my revelry

Because of you

And the surface seems all too familiar

For relationships come and go

But a bullet is forever

How will I ever live with the downward spiral

of losing you?

For tears are dirty

And so is my skin

I rest upon my heart in sorrow

For my pain is written in miles

I cannot bind myself to this life

Unless I am free,

Unless I am free

From these chains of obscurity

So what is a bullet without a gun?

Invisible lives do matter

And in my recklessness of you

I am all alone,

All alone

In this world

And if you need me

I won't be there,

For the bullet has taken

My life.
