The Things You've Said

zhangyuyouyu

You said I'm your best friend,

I said I'm not

I'm barely present at your lows

I'm practically just a living ghost

You said you like me,

I said can't you see I'm walking red

A fire that would literally burn you alive

Why can't you see it

You confessed you love me,

I said you're too blinded by love

Too biased by the red roses

To notice the blood flowing down the thorns

You claim you know me

But how can you say that

When you don't realise I'm fading away slowly,

Engulfing myself quickly,

Bleeding to my death

And that's why when you promised me your world,

I said I couldn't trust the emptiness of it all
