*~ IF

Thad Wilk

IF ~ the moon and stars above

        should e'er forget to shine.

        I will always have those sparkling

        eyes of yours to gaze upon,

        so heavenly divine~

IF ~ the magnolia trees fragrant blossoms,

        one day cease to bloom.

         The sweet essence of you my love,

          would still fill every room.

IF ~ the bluebirds and robins were

        no more to sing with glee.

        Your soft whispers of love

         will insure this harmony.

IF ~ all all these joys I have found in you;

        were taken away, that we share.

        Nothing in this whole wide world,

        could ever mask the pain I'd bare~

    Lovely tender words in your stanzas. Penned so romantically and some wonderful imagery added too. My senses were stirred. A beautiful love poem Thad.
