the sky will cry with you

NinjaGirl

Notice of absence from NinjaGirl
I may be gone for a bit.

its so awfully quiet, until it isn't anymore

little drops hit the roof, making music of their own

a solemn song they sing, as I gasp for breath on the floor

raw pain and anger I feel, a light flashes from outside

it seems like the agony I feel is reflected when booming thunder sounds

instead of my cries filling the silence there is pitter-pattering

pulling myself off the floor, I stumble toward the door

falling onto the wet concrete, my face no longer the only soaked part of me

at last I'm not alone, for the rain is with me

  • Comment from author about the poem: Rain has always been comforting to me. In a way I think of it as God remembering me and telling me he will cry with me.
