You never know all of what someone has lived through. Someone may have hurt them deeply which is why he or she can’t trust you. Everyone has a story of what lead them to where they are. You need only listen with an open mind and heart. I’m not saying to stay with those who misuse or mistreat you. I’m not saying to put up with any form of abuse. I’m only saying you just don’t know the battles of another’s mind; most times people only need someone to be kind.

It's true. It's our (my) own impatience at times, in not bearing with, not bothering to understand others enough.
Mental illness is difficult to 'see' in others sometimes too.
Meanwhile - argh, no one can hurt KP - she's thick-skinned literally. It's the botox, you see! lol.
lol 😂. Awful. You start out sentimental and I’m like.. exactly. Then you pick on kp and I’m like… nooooooo. Lol
One poem mentioned sewage. It made me think of how KP gets her own back on me. She mixes some up and serves it to me for dinner. She says 'It's a special stew, dear!' lol.
I am terrible to her in my 'Meanwhile...' tales. heehee.
We're all victims.
True, for some life deals a less than positive experience. But they say positivity can resurrect abused. Great write GenXer. 👍
