THE FLOW OF TIME

NDOU ROLIVHUWA

Notice of absence from NDOU ROLIVHUWA
Hello, I'm currently residing in a rural area with limited internet access. I rely on my prepaid data plan to stay connected, and I'm running low on data. As a result, I'll be temporarily unavailable until I can replenish my data or access a stable WiFi connection. Thank you for your understanding!

Time, a river, flowing free

Moments lost, like grains of sea

Sands slipping through our hands like gold

Memories fade, as years grow old

It races on, with pace so fast

Leaving us with memories of the past

A never-ending journey, it does make

Through the present, to the unknown lake

We try to grasp, but it slips away

Like water through our fingers, day by day

Yet, in its flow, we find our place

A moment's beauty, in time's embrace.

  • Comment from author about the poem: "This poem is a reflection on the fleeting nature of time, and how it slips away from us moment by moment. I wrote it to capture the idea that time is a constant flow, and we are all along for the ride. The poem explores the idea that even as we try to hold on to memories and moments, they eventually fade away like grains of sand in the river of time. I hope you enjoy it, and that it resonates with you!
