Rain, rain, rain
Falling on the pane
Pattering in the lane
Rushing down the drain
From the cloud which roars
Down, down, it pours
Close all the doors
We’ll have to stay indoors
Raincoats can be seen
Grey, black and green
As far as can be seen
None of them are clean
Mud, dirt, grime
Spreading all the time
Puddles everywhere
At which you may stare
Water – knee deep
Rubbish in a heap
A woman in a jeep
From time to time does peep
Sky’s overcast
Its menacing and vast
Clouds do thunder
It’s really a scene of wonder
The cold wind does bite
It fills one with fright
The lightning’s very bright
It really is a sight
Rain, rain, rain
You do not come in vain
For though you bring dirt
You are a boon to the earth.

Stay dry, and may your garden bloom.
lol - we do manage to stay dry as we venture out when its not pouring, and if we do what are raincoats and windcheaters for.
i hope my garden will bloom - the heat has been abominable and my poor plants start drooping since there is a water cut and they get less than they should.
If rain is what you want and need, I'm happy for you.... sometimes though know it is quite possible to have too much of a good thing.....LOL
at the moment, the water shortage in mumbai is so acute that we desperately need the rain to fill up the reservoirs so that the daily water cut stops. yes, if it starts flooding the areas, that is a headache too, but all of us in the city are waiting to be drenched - the heat has been abominable - nature taking its revenge - global warming attacking us..
Where is this? From your home page/public profile it would seem you prefer to go incognito.😊
complied with your request by updating my profile - though a bit reluctant to post my pic on public platforms
Thanks for that - most poems make a little more sense and are usually the richer for knowing who wrote them. No, don't put your photo up if you are already on police files somewhere.......... LOL lol......
LOL - DONT WANT YOU TO TAKE THE CREDIT AWAY FROM THEM
HAVE AN EXCITING TIME JOINING THE CHASE

lol
anyways thanks for the feedback - have a great weekend
I’ve heard the monsoon season is a blessing for scorched earth. I can imagine everything bursting into life after the downpours. A visually pleasing poem. Lovely work.
yes, thank you, my flowers and plants get a new lease of life, and so does the greenery in our complex, and around the city. a visual treat for sure.
thanks for the appreciation - have a lovely day
