Lost

13LaurenD

How do you keep going when you feel so lost?

How much are you willing to sacrifice for what you want? What will be the cost?

How do you keep going when it feels like nothing is going right?

And even though you have come so far, it seems like there is no finish line in sight.

You keep fighting the same battles that you never talk about,

And the same ones continue to fill you with fear and doubt.

Everyone is calling you crazy, and you are starting to think that it’s true,

Because it feels like there is nothing left, and there is nothing else for you to do.

You so badly want to believe that you have it in you to keep going,

But it is hard to remember that without actually knowing.

You are not sure whether to keep going or throw the towel in,

And you don’t know where you are going, but you know where you have been.

And even though your story is hard, it is what keeps you moving on,

You constantly have it in your mind to remind you from dusk until dawn.

That you have been through so much, and this is something else to overcome,

And it doesn’t matter if no one else understands where you are coming from.

It seems like no matter how hard you try, every night you fall apart,

But you also know that deep down you have felt like this from the start.

Despite all of those doubts playing in the back of your mind,

You knew that you needed to keep going, because the strength that you have is one that is hard to

find.

And one day you will be able to tell your story of how you overcome the dark,

And it will help others to find their own spark.

You know deep down that even though you are lost, you will eventually be found,

Because you know that what goes around will eventually come back around.
