I loved the rain

Justagirl

As a child I loved the rain

That sound on the tin roof

Sitting in the rocking chair

Dad’s laugh filling the air

Somewhere along the way

I lost the rain

Now I shiver at the thought of a storm

Run for cover from dark clouds

Sitting in my room

Silence and thunder all around

Puddles for jumping

Turned into obstacles in my way

Summer showers

Turned into day ruiners

As a child I loved the rain

But I guess I grew up

I lost the rain
