WHAT IS LIFE

Qurrathul Ain

'What is life,

If not lived with you?',

Asks the deepest chamber of my heart.

'What is wind,

If it does not talk with the flower?',

Asks the garden full of flowers.

You must have been placed on the land,

Surely to let me bloom...?

You were born just before me,

So that you could hold me after I'm born...?
