Planting a seed

ChristianGirl2005

I plant that seed into the ground and stand back to watch it grow,

For days and days I stand and wait, but the roots do not show.

So I plant another and wait, hoping it will begin to sprout,

But nothing happens again so my hope soon turns to doubt.

I ask you God what did I do wrong, why is my seed not blossoming?

My child, He says with a smile how do you know your seed is not prospering?

Just because you cannot see the seed taking root,

Does not mean that the branches will not hold my fruit.

All I ask is go out into the fields, to know, praise and sow,

I will take care of the rest my child, it is me not the seed you must follow.

If you sit and wait for every seed to bloom, think of all the seeds you could miss,

If you remember how long you took to grow you already know my answer to this.
