To Thine Own Self Be True

TracyToccara

In the mirror of the soul, a truth so clear,
A call to be oneself, to hold it dear.
To navigate life's maze with an honest heart,
To play the truest role, to never depart.

The raw unfiltered facts, a stream so pure,
Flow into the mind, a cure so sure.
They strip away the lies, the masks we wear,
Reveal the essence of who we truly are.

The fictitious pricks, the heavy lies,
They move through life, but soon they'll die.
For reality's grip is strong and true,
And only in truth can we ever renew.

Stiff outward appearances, a facade so frail,
Crack under the weight of an honest tale.
Self-destruction looms, a shadow so grim,
But truth is the light that makes us brim.

Complacency's trap, a snare so wide,
But truth is the sword that cuts it aside.
Pull through the darkness, emerge from despair,
Armed with truth, you're beyond compare.

The battle ground within, a war unseen,
Not to be enshrined, but to be keen.
For to thy own self be true and brave,
It's time to fight for you, to save.

So let the weapons of truth be your guide,
And in your arsenal, let them reside.
Dare them to compare, to see what's real,
For in truth's reflection, you'll find your zeal.
