BED WITHOUT ROSES

Jude Chukwuemeka Muoneke

Notice of absence from Jude Chukwuemeka Muoneke
I will surely get back to you when I come online.

A day will come,
When your eyes will be closed
People; family and friends
Even enemies, will gather.

Many will travel
From far and near,
To witness and testify
That you are dead and burial.

On this bed,
You will be alone with nothing
All the hustlings and tusslings
Will be a folktale to many.

Your deeds will decide your fate,
Life without Jesus,
Shares sorrowful testimonies in hell,
like the Rich man and Lazarus.
