Steps

Kayla Jackson

Despite all my flaws

all the setbacks

and all the wrongs I have done

I am a good woman

I am a damn good mother

Perfect, No

Blameless, No

Do I need your approval, No

So keep talking

Keep trying to hold me back

I need those words

and the doubt

They build the steps

I need

to continue climbing
