Summer

Alan R

It is a summer enough

For the supple clover leaves

To be blooming up in pink

Cotton gallaced up in buckles

And something smells like honey suckle

And like a first time, since the last time

I preserved wildflowers in my book

And this summer was all it took

To be enough, on this summer enough.
