I tried to bury myself in you,
tried to hide behind your shadow and
live in the window of your desire
i hoped you could still see me there
maybe I hoped you would want more of me
not just what lays underneath you or
what your body is able to hold
or what my body is able to give
but when I tried to give you more
you didnt seem to take it
now that Im out of your shadow
I'm stuck in that grief that haunts me
knowing that i had to be less for you
in order for you to want me
