Unrelenting Rage

Katdream

received with open arms
your hardship not unheeded
provided what was indispensable
repaid with obliviousness
stinging words
expressing love to another
while discounting and berating me
narcissistic rages
flung like plummeting rocks
get out of my heart
before fire burns me alive

    Powerful writing. I've been there.

It isn't pretty. But, somehow we survive.

Will it keep begging you for mercy?
Will it speak to you with gentle words?

    • Katdream

Neither. Narcissists do not take accountability for anything they do. My defense is to remain no contact and simply wish them well.

and survive we must I guess...

lived every word, and felt the pain.

        as I do every day.

Yes...we do survive. And, hopefully, take something good away from it.
