Stories

John Prophet

Stories.
So many
stories.
Layer
after
layer.
Building.
Piling
up,
deep.
Histories
foundation.
Stories
designing
beliefs.
Generation
to generation.
Ancient
story tellers.
Dogmatic
integration.
Civilization’s
mythos
built.
One story
at a time.
World
view
generation.
Modernity
teetering
on sandy
foundations.
Ancient
narratives,
beliefs
influencing
still.
Hard to
let go,
reconfigure.
Simple
speak.
Easy
to believe.
Hard to
dislodge.
Stories,
ancient
narratives
not people
rule the
world.

What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done; there is nothing new under the sun.

Stories based on religion are the ones I find most scary. There is a real art to telling stories. I loved the ones my Dad would read to me at bedtime. Even if they made me cry 🙂 Enjoyed my visit John. Much to contemplate here.
