Tune: Halton Holgate

('Firmly I believe and truly')

Matthew 16 v.13-18 parts

For St Peter's Day - June 29.

********

Lord, give us as Peter, firm faith

He believed in you, he saith

You are the Christ, you be the Son

Of the living God, the one

You Jesus did say, Blessed you be

Peter, for revealed this, see

To you not by human means for

My Father showed you it sure

For He, God my Father revealed

This to you, it not concealed

And upon you, Peter, I will

Build my church to prevail still

For you be a rock, foundation

Salvation for each nation

Is found in who does true believe

In me, new life shall receive

We all need solid foundations. Rock is preferable to shifting sands. Uplifting spiritual words. Good morning Orchi and regards to Mrs Botox.
