YOUR SMILE

Qurrathul Ain

Notice of absence from Qurrathul Ain
I'm taking a break for a while, for no specific reason. Maybe because, I don't get as much inspirations as I used to.

I know not you,

But your smile.

When my eyes swept across the hall,

I thought,

I must've seen you somewhere,

Tried hard to search where,

Maybe we met in our previous life?

The moment you smiled,

The switch clicked,

My heart knew your smile,

And I knew you.

I don't think it makes you unreal. It just proves that not enough people smile. People train themselves to hide their emotions and unfortunately in societies today a smile is seen by too many people as a weakness or something. I like your poem bc like a picture a smile is worth a thousand words.
