*` In My Minds Eye `* form Monotetra

Thad Wilk

You've captured my heart at first sight.

'Tis heaven when I hold you tight.

Your sparkling eyes that shine so bright.

Bring such delight, bring such delight.

```
Whilst scribbling your name in the sand.
I think of our love oh so grand.
Darling I am at your command.
Our love God planned, our love God planned.
```

On this lovely beach you and I,

beneath the moon and starlit sky.

You are my world I can't deny.

In my minds eye, in my minds eye~

  • Comment from author about the poem: Form Monotetra: Created by Michael Walker. The Monotetra has a mono rhyme scheme in each stanza. It has 4 lines per stanza, 8 syllables per line. In the last line of each stanza, 4 syllables are repeated as if in an echo, a little refrain. Each stanza can have a different rhyme, but all 4 lines within must rhyme.....
