Be strong in the grace that is

In Christ Jesus, here found this

Sharing of the gospel true

Be good teacher too

 

Commit teaching to faithful

Ones, so they shall profit all

Others in their turn then share

In the gospel fair

 

Endure hardship, good soldier

Of Jesus Christ, so confer

With Him, leaving worldly things

Distraction such brings

 

Single-minded, please the one

Jesus, who is God's own Son

Chosen in His army band

Going to each land [in mission]

 

And be as an athlete, you

Train with the sure end in view

No short cuts, but lawfully

Then the prize yours be
