Don't Show Me Your Eyes

Mason Vollman

How many poems about your eyes,

Do I need to write,

Until you realize,

That I can't see beauty,

That lies within,

When your backs turned on me,

Just turn around and look at me.

You heard me,

I hinted it,

"Show Me Your Eyes"

But you forget about it,

I tried to be calm,

And just sit with it,

Say everything's fine,

And not think about it.

Everything is fine.

Right?

Mysterious relationship,

Cause your not using your sight,

If your lost in the dark,

Your eyes are what's bright,

Don't use your hood,

To cover your light...

You asked me who I like,

(Obvious)

You asked who the special someone, in the poem "Show Me Your Eyes" was,

Also (Obvious)

Please, look at me,

Don't worry about looks,

You know I ain't changing my mind,

Even through the first rejection,

In my feelings for you I stood.

Use those eyes,

I know your not blind,

I've been trying to get ahead,

But I've ended up behind,

I've been trying and trying,

To find a way,

To make talking to you easy,

That we can both say, what we wanna say,

And it can be normal,

In everyway.

Is what I have greed?

Last meet was an improvement, that's indeed,

But I needed the help of,

Sticks and leaves,

To get your attention away from,

Skinning trees.

Look at me!

Show me your eyes!

Don't be shy!

Don't be stunned!

"Love today, not tomorrow"

When you move,

We'll see eachother once every 3 months,

You say you wanna meet me,

So I meet you,

Hoping to see you,

The only thing I see is the back of your head,

And it beats me,

Why don't you wanna see me?

How can I be with someone who can't even look at me,

I can't get enough of you,

Are you scared of what you'd see in me?

They say:

"Love forever, love is free"

But how can you love,

What you cannot see?

Show me your eyes,

Not your hood,

Is your love for me a lie?

Turned away from me you stood...

Edited:

I thought about it...

...Don't show me your eyes...

...Look in my eyes...

What do you see?

... Patients?
