Weaver's Hand

Gewar

Like a weaver,
With her spindle,
Playing with gossamer thread,
Gently dancing with your fingers,
You gave not a single smirk,
When you made me stir and shiver.
But you know what you just did.

I have a question about the tone in this poem. Does the line "you gave not a single smirk" imply a sort of emotional distance between the characters? Because my first read through, I thought "oh this is cute and flirtatious" but on my second read through, I'm not so sure. Also, I really love the imagery here 🙂
