Footprints

Charlotte3

You walk beside me wherever I go,

Two sets of footprints mark the ground.

Through the valleys and up the hills,

There is no place you cannot be found.

But a strong wind blows and your footprints go,

It's just my footprints now.

I ask you God where have you gone,

I need you most. I cry aloud.

My child a whisper says,

The footprints are mine, not yours that surround.

This is where I carried you when you needed me,

I would never forsake you or let you go without.
