Surrender, Dear Pretender

Mutley Ravishes

Not trying to get

Already have

Not trying to be

Already am

No more sinking in

The quicksand

Of struggle and strain

Pleasure and pain

Seeing life through an identity

That is hopelessly lame

Imagination's on its game

Let the weak say I am strong

Writing a brand new song

Releasing all the entities

From condemnation

A retainer in an elevator

Called transmutation

Thank you! That pretender's got his teeth sunk in deep. Still, he was trying to be happy.
