Dreamless Sleep

I drowned myself to sleep last night

So I could find a way

To push the dirt out from my

Mind and make it go away

And when I closed my eyes again

Within my thoughts I prayed

That there’s a god and he will

Help relieve me from this pain

But now I know I burn inside

And scream in slow decay

Still buried deep among a

Dreamless sleep I cannot sway
