Invocation To My Soul

marco

Under the bridge

we lost our way.

We flew together

like birds of prey.

In the chaos

of newborn light

I turned to black

you turned to white.

Oh soul, my soul,

I’m here, please speak.

My heart is weary,

My will is weak.

Silence grows

like endless shade

the unknown beckons

but I’m afraid.

My heart, it trembles

like frightened fruit

My heart is heavy,

my heart is mute.

I heard it sing,

long ago

Before my I met

with fear and woe

I heard it sing

songs of love

now all that sing

are the birds above.

I swam the sky

I flew the sea

Oh soul, my soul

my mystery,

I implore you please

let me in.

I wish to find

the light within.

Flame of burning

eternal dark.

My inner gold,

my inner spark.

Oh soul, my soul

I burn like coal

I burn to ashes

in my dark hole.

I dig and dig

through layers of hell

To find you soul,

my endless well.

Upon this night

as dark as sin,

I open doors

and go within.
