Tune: Mannheim
('Lead us, heavenly Father, lead us')
**********
Where hearts, minds be filled with sorrow
Each heart and mind you do know
Shared a human life on earth here
You, Lord, as man did appear
Light of life to guide us always
Through our nights and through our days
If we here with sickness burdened
You, Lord, us heal and defend
Help us wait your time, watch and pray
After dark shall dawn the day
But your light still there though seeming
At times no changes does bring
But you do uphold us, strengthen
E'en if troubles seem lengthen
Holding to you in prayer trusting
And human help, many things
Of your gifting and providing
From sorrow to joy, we sing

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8.7.8.7.8.7 There is prayer, and also human help, all through 'God's gifting and providing' (verse 3). Somehow, some way, light at the end of the tunnel, whether tunnel is short or long.

Here some gratitude is expressed even though it is with some expectation of return. Good write Orchi.
Thanks SB.
