THE LIONESS

Jude Chukwuemeka Muoneke

Notice of absence from Jude Chukwuemeka Muoneke
I will surely get back to you when I come online.

Many decades ago,
A lioness crawled out,
With tearful laughters,
Many friendly foes,
Gathered for a feast.

Growing up,
Fate twisted many hurdles,
But, she stoops to conquer,
Fighting her fears of unknown,
Her Chi stood by her.

Though wounded,
By the fracas of fate,
A sacrificial lamb!
She stoops to conquer,
Questioning her fate.

Today, in reminiscence,
Of her past and present,
She's hopeful of the battles fought,
Her Chi has destined her a Queen,
To rule over her dynasty.
