What is gone is gone, they say

arctic fox

What is gone is gone, they say,
like night turns into day.
Time moves fast, it doesn't wait,
don't let the past decide your fate.

Thinking 'bout what used to be,
is like chasing waves at sea.
Waves go out and come back in,
with each dawn, a new begin.

Forget the worries of yesterday,
focus on the now and here today.
In the present, find your peace,
let the old memories release.

Life's a river, always flowing,
constant change, always growing.
Don't hold tight to days long past,
let go of fears, let doubts be cast.

What is gone is gone, it's true,
plant today, let hope shine through.
In its growth, you'll find your way,
to a bright and better day.

So embrace the moment now,
take a breath, and take a bow.
For the past is like a song,
whispering, "What is gone is gone."
